When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick. When burning the candle after the first burn, do not let it burn for over 3 hours at a time.

Ideally, we recommend keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.

When approaching the end of the candle, leave ¼ inch of wax unburned.

Candle Care Instructions

Step 1: First Burn Matters

For the best experience, allow your candle to burn for 2 to 3 hours during the first use. This ensures the wax melts evenly across the surface, preventing tunneling. When extinguishing the flame, use a candle snuffer or wick dipper to avoid excess smoke and prevent debris from contaminating the wax. For future burns, limit each session to a maximum of 3 hours.

Step 2: Keep the Wick Trimmed

To maintain a clean, even burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use. This helps prevent excess smoke and keeps the wick from falling into the melted wax, preserving the candle’s fragrance and quality.

Step 3: Burn Safely

Never leave a burning candle unattended, and do not exceed 3 hours of continuous burn time. Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, flammable objects, children, and pets.
